Dr. Asmitha Sathiyakumar
Dr. Asmitha leads the medical team at Relief Spine & Pain Center with one end goal in mind: to get each patient back to living an active and fulfilling life. To achieve this, Dr. Asmitha and her team provide personalized and comprehensive pain management by identifying the root causes of a patient’s pain and offering tailored solutions.
After earning both her bachelor’s and medical degrees from Vanderbilt University, Dr. Asmitha pursued her residency in anesthesiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She further honed her expertise through a fellowship in pain management at Emory University and has been actively engaged in the practice of both anesthesiology and pain management since 2017. Dr. Asmitha considers it a privilege to be a part of the Fort Payne community and is committed to delivering exceptional and compassionate healthcare. She is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to her patients’ well-being and to play a part in their journey to recovery.
Candace Hiland
Candace, a former ICU nurse, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Relief Spine & Pain Center. She possesses skills in critical care and patient management, making her a valuable asset to the team and her patients. Candace’s transition to becoming an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) signifies her commitment to providing high-quality care to patients, particularly those with complex health needs.
Her experience in the intensive care unit has given her a thorough understanding of acute and chronic conditions, making her well-equipped to address the unique challenges faced by patients seeking relief from spine and pain issues. Her compassionate approach and dedication to patient well-being, coupled with her expertise and passion for healthcare, enable Candace to provide the comprehensive and personalized care each patient at Relief Spine & Pain Center deserves
